RED in the horizon

Incumbency factor, that is the one word to explain a unanimous mandate in favour of the left run State Government in West Bengal, where millions of pleple came out to vote for the Left-front ignoring scorching Sun beam, and hitherto unseen almost campaign-less Assembly Election 2006

Left did it for people of Bengal and who in turn rewarded them while casting votes.

In early nineties, a state that had witnessed its worst time in Industries, came up to lead from the front under the desered leadership of State Chief Minister, Sri Buddhadev Bhattacharya.

Sri Bhattacharya focussed on industrialisation of Bengal and invited investors of all corners of the globe to come in Bengal providing the best assistance the state could have done in their support. And that did the trick.

In IT sector alone, the state has captured a commanding position in India with Salt lake Sector -V, being deemed as one of the best site providing necessary IT infrustructure and leading IT Companies have responded to the call of Mr. Bhattacharya and invested here.

A traditional farmer based Political Party, largely dependant upon farmers, rural people and labourers of Bengal, and has a trustworthy face too amongst that community, this time seems to win the mandate of the city dwellers as well for its new industrial vision.

The Communist led Left-front Govt. has done an appreciable work in land reforms, irrigation and now its the turn of Industrialisation.

Bengal celebrities believe that it may expect to see an all together developed Bengal within coming five to seven years and so do people of Bengal.

Bagging 50.2% of the total votes cast and a win with three fourth majority, it seems that it has shadowed all previous mighty victory stories by any political party in the world’s largest democracy.

A consecutive seventh time victory ( thirty plus years in a row!) in the State Assembly Election, left seems to do just what people of Bengal wants them to do, a Government run by the people and for the people as well.

Hope the new development era will continue to grow up and expand and people of Bengal may see many more joyful moments of left run State Government in future.

This was to be expected. Unless there is drastic change in the mindset of people, left will continue to rule west bengal in coming 25 years.
