Split Keyphrase - Top ranking guide

Oflate, crawler based search engines seem to pick-up sites for #1, #2 … ranking in which keyphrase is splitted up throughout the entire page. And that too must not have more than one or two mention.

In a study to see how crawlers are picking up site for a particular keyphrase,it was interesting to see that sites/pages with one or two mention of the keyphrase that too spread and splitted in the entire webpage, seem to draw better attention of the crawler.

Got it? Ok,let us say,a good SEO has optimised his webpage for the keyword “Spiderman downloadable games”.

Now if he mentions the keyphrases as it is written above, there is every possibility that SE spiders may simply ignore it. But if the word “Spiderman” appears at the top of the webpage with “downloadable games ” apprearing anywhere else on that page, the page may gain a better position.

Though there are few exception to this simple SEO strategy when big sites like Yahoo!, Wikipedia or Amazon are involved. SE crawlers have finally decided to go on giving big sites a better position for obvious reason of trust.

So next time, you consider optimising your website/webpages, try not to use the entire keyphrase but to split it up into constituent keywords. If you have a genuinely good website, chances are there - optimising in this way, may give your website a ranking anything between #1 to #10 in Major SERPs.

  1. Google Junky Says:

a webpage should have your chosen words or phrase 5-7% of the total on-page text.
So that does account for a very small amount of your actual keyword(s)
