Really speaking, i’m not the fittest person to review a big name like Google. Since the beginning of my internet activity, and infact much before than that, I heard the name “Google” who would provide quality search results. The name was pretty easy to remember and the interface was not at all junky and finally production of high quality search results, this all lead me to become a fan of Google, almost a blind fan.
May be most of the visitors/webmasters have exhibited trust and loyalty towards Google for production of quality search results since its inception as a search engine giant.
However, as soon as the internet becomes a bigger space with lots of money involved in it, in the name of SEO, a lot of webmasters tried to exploit the search results by adopting unfair means. So, the task of the search engines are gradually becoming pretty difficult. Infact Google has declared a war against the internet spammers or SEO techniques that try to befool their crawler.
In the name of doing so, Google undertakes updates from time to time, and with their updates, some sites find a higher place and someone goes to the bottom or even loose their position in Google index.
The lastest update, BigDaddy, seems to hit the indexing maximum and that has raised lot s of voices from all corners.
I am not so confident how will you interpret this statistics, but I can see Google at #3 with MSN at #2 in the Alexa rank of top 500 websites. Also while comparing to MSN, it shows a gradually declining traffic.
Few, I’m not quite sure about the number, webmasters have declared to leave Google for its unstability. The broken site: operator over the past few weeks was also a cause of worry for most of the webmasters having hyphenated domain names in url.
The big “G” is definitely going through a tough time.
