Most searched toys and videos

Monday, November 19th, 2007

In my constant effort to keep yourself updated with popular keyword search, I would again like to mention below a link to this years top searches for Toys and video!

HitSearchLimited!

It must not be new to you that both toys and videos sell like hot cake, and most of the buyers prefer to follow Google search to rich the best website. The list will help you to get an insight into the top selling toys world as well as top selling videos.

Mike Grehan, of The ClickZ Network has made a thought provoking entry in his post http://www.clickz.com/3627629. We get unsolicited Emails but not all of them are rubbish. You find some occassional one that is interesting as well. Do you agree? And about the guidelines framed by SEs and his opinion - “one man’s spam can often be another’s cutting-edge SEO (define) tactic.”

That is how the world of SEO goes. Black hat strategies are invented and used too often to give a site booster! Who cares? Even when the SEs pick up the trick, the owner has already digested the traffic juice!

Tough luck for rather ethical guys, though they will be rewarded in the loooooooong run! Lol!

Top UK Keywords! How can you neglect this list?

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

Hi! This is a fantastic winter Sunday and I’m about to attend a party! So I’m in a real hurry, and about to leave my working table. Anyway, I will give you a great input that will help you to think over the rest of the day with follow up - ‘Do it now’ doctrine! How can you neglect this asset list of keywords - top fifty for UK searches in the month of November?

Oh! Just getting trapped in word puzzle, so here is the link the lists them all.

And one word of caution for those who prefer Google more to get hits to your website.

PayPerPost is most likely to be in the Google ban list, so it is undoubtedly a black hat SEO. For those bloggers who were earning some decent living with PPP, now is the time to decide, whether to sacrifice Google juice, or to think of another avenues of online earning! Confusing and sad -as being a blogger I know better than nobody else how much difficult it is to earn some money from blogging!

Split Keyphrase - Top ranking guide

Sunday, May 14th, 2006

Oflate, crawler based search engines seem to pick-up sites for #1, #2 … ranking in which keyphrase is splitted up throughout the entire page. And that too must not have more than one or two mention.

In a study to see how crawlers are picking up site for a particular keyphrase,it was interesting to see that sites/pages with one or two mention of the keyphrase that too spread and splitted in the entire webpage, seem to draw better attention of the crawler.

Got it? Ok,let us say,a good SEO has optimised his webpage for the keyword “Spiderman downloadable games”.

Now if he mentions the keyphrases as it is written above, there is every possibility that SE spiders may simply ignore it. But if the word “Spiderman” appears at the top of the webpage with “downloadable games ” apprearing anywhere else on that page, the page may gain a better position.

Though there are few exception to this simple SEO strategy when big sites like Yahoo!, Wikipedia or Amazon are involved. SE crawlers have finally decided to go on giving big sites a better position for obvious reason of trust.

So next time, you consider optimising your website/webpages, try not to use the entire keyphrase but to split it up into constituent keywords. If you have a genuinely good website, chances are there - optimising in this way, may give your website a ranking anything between #1 to #10 in Major SERPs.

Keyword power

Saturday, May 6th, 2006

Test your keyword power!

Do you really want to know whether the keyword(s) for which you have optimised your pages are working for you. Google gives a fantastic query to test what urls are returned from your website against a specific keyword.

Type the following string in Google Search Box:

site:your-domain-name.com keywords

Here keywords are to be replaced by the actual keyword for which you have optimised your pages.

This is particularly useful, when your site is not among the top fifty to sixty search results in Google search result pages.

Enjoy.
